◆ Beaver Lake

Sailing & a Private Chef

Set sail from Lost Bridge with a meal from the chef behind Ryn.

Arkansas’s largest reservoir — 28,000 acres of clear Ozark water — and a private chef who knows exactly what to do with it.

Lift off from Thaden Field and in under ten minutes the forested bluffs of Beaver Lake fill the windshield below you. You touch down at the Lost Bridge Village marina, roughly nineteen miles from Bentonville, where a private sailing charter and its captain are already rigged and waiting.

Chef Matthew Cooper — the same chef behind Restaurant Ryn — comes aboard with everything he needs. As the captain steers you into hidden coves and open blue stretches that no road ever reaches, Cooper works his galley and plates a meal that belongs nowhere else on earth: local ingredients, moving water, bluff light sliding across the hull.

Stay for the afternoon, anchor for sunset, or extend into an overnight charter when the mood calls for it. The lake stretches in every direction, and the only deadline is the one you set.

How the day flies

Four steps, one unforgettable afternoon.

Depart Thaden Field

Meet your pilot in Bentonville and lift off straight over the Ozarks — no car, no traffic, no winding lake road.

Land at Lost Bridge marina

Touch down at the Lost Bridge Village marina on Beaver Lake’s north shore, where the boat and captain are ready to cast off.

Set sail, chef aboard

Slip into open water — or a tucked-away cove — while Chef Cooper prepares your meal in the galley below.

Anchor for sunset

Drop anchor in a quiet inlet, swim off the stern, and watch the bluffs go amber. Stay aboard overnight or fly home before dark.
