Eureka Springs is built into a hillside so steep the streets loop over themselves, and no two buildings sit at the same elevation. The whole downtown is on the National Register: Victorian stonework, spring houses, and a main street that has never been straightened out.
Above the town, more than six hundred acres of mountain bike trail run through hardwood forest — the reason a lot of riders come to this corner of Arkansas in the first place. The Christ of the Ozarks statue stands on the ridge above it all, visible long before you land.
It works as a riding day with a town attached, or a town day with trails attached. Most people end up doing some of both.
